Mini-trip somewhere around Azores...

Esta viagem foi confirmada um dia antes de embarcar-mos nesta aventura, composta por mim, Pedro Correia, Ivo Batista e o fotógrafo Ricardo Amaral. No dia 27 de Julho, quando passava um pouco mais das 15 horas, estávamos em direcção a uma ilha em que iríamos lá ficar por uma noite, ainda tivemos a oportunidade de rever alguns amigos nossos e de conviver um pouco com a malta de lá. No dia a seguir (28 Julho), por volta das 9h e pouco, já estávamos no barco e em direcção à ilha destinada a esta nossa pequena viagem.

This trip was confirmed one day before we embark on this adventure, consisting me, Pedro Correia, Ivo Batista and photographer Ricardo Amaral. On July 27 around 3pm, we were on our way to an island by boat where we would stay there for a night and we still had the opportunity to review some of our friends and socialize a bit with the fellas there. The next day (July 28), around 9am, we were on the boat and making our way to the island of this mini-trip.




Estivemos 4 dias nesta ilha, divertimo-nos imenso. Apesar da falta de ondas, deu para ver uma data de spots, com um potencial enorme, apreciar paisagens incríveis e quando o tempo estava bom dava para vermos algumas ilhas vizinhas. Simplesmente fantástico! Ainda tivemos a oportunidade de ver uma tourada, de ir às festas tradicionais e à disco local.

We stayed 4 days on there, awesome times. Even with very small waves, we cheked a lot of spots, with enormous potential, we enjoyed amazing landscapes and when the weather was good we could see the neighboring islands. Simply amazing! We also had the opportunity to see a "bullfight", going to traditional partys and a local disco.







Esta foto acima foi a nossa principal razão desta viagem. Infelizmente o swell não entrou como esperávamos. Ficará para uma próxima vez. O potencial está lá sem dúvida.

Esta ilha é perfeita. Tem paisagens de sonho, inúmeras ondas com um potencial incrível, crowd inexistente... É uma autêntica pérola. Mal posso esperar para lá voltar com umas previsões bem melhores.

This island is perfect. It has landscapes of dream, many waves with an incredible potential, non-existent crowd... It's an real pearl. Can't wait to go back there with a better forecast.






As únicas duas surfadas que demos enquanto lá estivemos foi apenas num spot onde estava a quebrar uns 20cm, fundo de pedra muito raso. Por acaso a onda até era divertida.

The only two surf sessions we had was only in one spot where it was 1 foot waves, very shallow rock bottom. It was fun anyway.
