Last Saturday was the 2nd stage of the Regional here in the island. It was on-shore but the waves were fun, some 1m right handers and some left handers. In the final the swell drop off a bit. The rights were better untill the final. In the final the lefts were better but out of the water it seemed to me that the rights were better...
I got 3rd place and i'm a bit disapointed cause I was really confident on my surf and getting the highest scores during the whole comp and in the final I didn't had any luck with the waves.
Anyway, congrats to the other finalists: Sérgio Rego, Miguel Reis and especially to Pedro Correia, the winner and for the second time. He's been ripping hard and he's been really consistent and really focused, defenetly the one who's ripping the most here in Azores nowadays and the one who pushes me in the surf that's for sure.

No sábado passado foi a 2 ª etapa do Regional aqui na ilha. Estava on-shore, mas as ondas estavam engraçadas, com 1m direitas e esquerdas. Na final o swell caíu um pouco. As direitas eram as melhores até à final. Na final as esquerdas ficaram melhores, mas fora da água, parecia-me que as direitas eram melhores...
Fiquei em 3 º lugar e estou um pouco desiludido pois eu estava muito confiante no meu surf e obtive as maiores pontuações durante todo o campeonato e na final eu não tive sorte com as ondas.
De qualquer forma, parabéns aos finalistas: Sérgio Rego, Miguel Reis e em especial, ao Pedro Correia, o vencedor pela segunda vez. Ele está surfando imenso e tem sido muito consistente e muito focado, sem dúvida que é o melhor aqui nos Açores actualmente e é o rider que mais me dá pica para surfar mais e melhor.
