Decorreu nos dias 15 e 16 de Setembro a 4ª edição da Taça Açores onde coroa os novos campeões regionais de Bodyboard masculino / feminino, Surf masculino / feminino e Longboard.

It took place on the 15/16 September the 4th edition of the Azores Cup where it crowns the new regional champions in bodyboard male / female, surf male / female and Longboard.

Esta edição, apesar de não ter tido o mesmo prestígio que as anteriores, na qual destaco a 1ª edição como sendo o melhor campeonato regional já feito de desportos de ondas desde que me iniciei no Bodyboard, foi especial pois, para além de a minha irmã Joana Rijo ter ganho no feminino sem dar hipóteses, tornando-se campeã regional pela 2ªx consecutiva, finalmente consegui chegar ao cobiçado 1o lugar onde já andava à caça desde a 1ª edição, onde foi a vez que mais tive perto de ganhar, perdi a 5 segundos no fim e fui vice, na altura tinha 14.

This year, despite not having the same prestige than the previous editions, which the 1st edition was the best regional comp ever made of bodyboard/surf since I started in Bodyboard, was special because, apart from my sister Joan Rijo have won in the female without giving any chance and became regional champion for the 2nd time consecutive I finally managed to get the coveted first place wich I was already in the hunt since the 1st edition, which was the edition that I was soo close to win, I losted in the last 5 seconds and got 2nd, at 14 years old.

Estou feliz por ter ganho para contribuir para a "Dobradinha Rijo" nesta Taça Açores, algo que considero incomum num desporto. Agora é trabalhar mais ainda para bons resultados nos nacionais e quem sabe ainda participar num mundial este ano.

I'm happy to finally won and to contribute for the "Double Rijo win" in this Azores Cup, something I think it's unusual in a sport. Now I'm looking forward to work more for good results in nationals and perhaps another world comp this year.
